Jim Dovey

Jim Dovey has been working as a software engineer since 1999, during which time he's designed and implemented network and serial protocols, and written libraries and applications for Windows, Linux, PalmOS, and the Macintosh.

For seven years he was the chief architect of Mac OS X software for Hi Resolution Systems in the UK and Canada, delving into the inner workings of OS X on a daily basis to implement fine-tuned control of almost every aspect of the system. Over the last 12 months, Jim has worked on iPhone applications and trained people in Mac & iPhone development, written software for Final Cut Server integration and transitions, and created a large-scale distributed digital signage system based on (what else?) the AppleTV.
